Shelter

Shelter

Here is a leg to stand on
It's my own and it will have to do
Take my strength though I'm not strong
I know it will come in handy for you

Take the air from my lungs
Feed my heart to your little ones
Build shelter out of my blood and tears
Hear my screams with my own ears

Here are my wandering eyes
I hope they see the truth this time
Here is my body though it slowly dies
You can't have my soul because it's not mine

Take the air from my lungs
Feed my heart to your little ones
Take my shoulder so you have something to cry on
Every time you hear this song.
