Off at The Wrist

Off at The Wrist

You asked me to obey
But I will betray
So cut my hands off at the wrist
Because I never wanted to hurt You like this

And though I am the enemy
I feel I must place the blame
On YOUR shoulders
Because the world
From which I am fading from isn't heavy enough

But I believe that love
Covers over all my failure and regret
And I believe I will not forget
What it took to get me here with you
Here with all of me

You asked me to stay
But I have gone astray
So cut my hands off at the wrist
Because I never wanted to hurt You like this

And though I am the enemy I know I am Yours.
