I don't hate you

by Josh   Apr 26, 2006

Though you were quietly cruel.
Though I've taken brutal lashings.
Though you treated me like a fool.
I still don't hate you

Though you left me in the hail.
Though you sent my heart down crashing.
Though you fought me tooth and nail,
I just can't hate you.

I dread the way that your memory scorches me.
But I can look through that pain.
And I've made a wonderful discovery.
I will never hate you.

Where did i get the strength to endure?
When you said my love was feign.
You were so wrong, my intentions were pure.
But I still don't hate you.

I don't.
