Beyond

It was there....
I'm sure it was there...
It was that day when the everything was going just right...
The climate was radiant with the warmth of love
The day you told me that the cloud was in the shape
of Cheshire Cat smiling down at us.

Oh and you where wearing that sea foam green shirt
with the words "BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR" in bold black letters.
It must have been 11:00 am and Circa Survive was blasting out the stereo it was the song everyway
It was there on that hill
where you pointed out your house,
where you threw your arms around my neck
and whispered "the world looks so small from above.

I remember it like it was yesterday,
how cute you giggles at the fact
that some one out there was fornicating,
and yeah!.. a couple must have been going at it
on such a beautiful day!

I can't believe you don't recall such a divine day.
I was consumed by the way every thing was going just right,
the car did not do the unusual noise when I step on the gas,
the gas tank was for once full,
how your hair played with the wind like a little girl playing with a cat,
how your eyes looked a little bit more green then in the evening,
how when you smiled the right side of your mouth didn't move,
and for once me and you where the only ones there.

You must remember, please you must remember
The long conversations we had,
How we would lose ourself
in the words that came unexpected.
I think we talked about how people live with fear,
and how they're afraid to act on their instincts.
I recall the way you smelled.
It was that scent of unbound essence, it was there.
I remember where we sat.
We sat right beneath the soaring tree.
That made it easier that day, to speak to you
to make you laugh, and to tell you how great you looked.

You where so beautiful, at that moment that I would have loved to stop time.
It was at that place, where I realize what the world was really all about.
Your eyes, clear of anything in my path told me what to expect.
They where beyond beauty, it was the bitter sweet image of loneliness.
They cried out for love that I knew I was unworthy of.

But it was there, it was there where it happened.
The tragic ending to our story
How I wish I could forget, how I wish I could have stopped time
Right before that tragic bullet pierced your soul
It was then where beyond my power, my love, my live.
For the last time your eyes would consume me whole.

how i wish i could forget...
