The Night That I Died

by nobody truly knows me   Apr 27, 2006

As I look down at the world,
From high up above,
I watch certain people,
The ones that I loved.

They're consumed with grief,
Thousands of tears are cried,
I've watched on in silence,
Since the night that I died.

I look back on the wreck,
And the feelings of terror,
Of when the drunk driver hit my car,
And when I knew that death was near.

I remember the pain,
And the rage that built inside me,
I was just a teenager,
Too young to die so tragically.

I fought to hold on,
Still I slipped away,
The other driver was fine,
And still living till this day.

The memory refreshed,
I turn away from the sight,
No longer being able to watch my family,
I fade into the night.
