Happy Birthday Daddy,
Another year has past,
Hopefully this one is just as good,
If not better then the last.
Of course you have to work,
But we will wait for you,
We are all very grateful,
For everything you do.
I know I don’t say it,
As much as I probably should,
But Daddy, I love you,
More then anyone ever could.
You’ve given me inspiration,
You’ve given me hope,
You’ve given me the power,
The ability to cope.
And without you Daddy,
Who knows where I’d be,
Maybe in my own little world,
Drifting out to sea.
I know I’ve disappointed you,
With decisions I have made,
Down to every stupid stunt I’ve pulled,
And every low test grade.
And with this poem I say to you,
Daddy I’m sorry for my past,
I could have done better,
Not being so unsurpassed.
All I ever want to do,
Is make you proud of me,
I want you to point and say,
“That’s my Chelsea Marie.â€
So Happy Birthday Daddy,
And I speak for all when I say,
“We love you, we need you, in every single way!â€
