Worst Day Ever

I woke up with a stomach ache
And noticed my hamster was dead
I spilled milk all over the floor
And knocked the counter with my head

I missed the freakin' school bus
So I showed up to English late
My friend was in an argumentative mood
So I got stuck in a useless debate

I tripped on my shoe lace in the hall
Then I fell asleep in history class
My boyfriend is ignoring me, being a jerk
I'm tempted to just kick his.... shin

I finally got home, ready to crash
When the parents found the report card
They yell because I don't have 90s
But keeping a 70 average is hard

I locked myself in the bathroom
When I stupidly looked in the mirror
With my self-esteem at an all time low
My reflection made me burst into tears

I go to call on a few close friends
Looking for sympathy and a shoulder
But I'm too proud to let them see me this way
And the weather is just getting colder

I sit in my bedroom, staring at walls
I'll just listen to depressing music for a while
Then I realize tomorrow can't be any worse
And I drift off to sleep with a smile

Note: Yesterday was a really bad day for me, it's almost funny now. The poem in itself isn't great or anything but I felt it was something I needed to write.
