That i could hear his voice....
And only for one moment,
i would know it was OK...
if i knew that he still cared...
Then i wouldn't have to cry...
And if only for once more...
I could feel his lips...
In the Shadows of sun set red...
my day would be so sweet...
As to never forget the feeling
Of being in his arms...
And if only for one moment..
he knew how much i cried...
And he came to wipe my tears away
and my fears no longer hide.
And I'm not afraid to cry...
cause i would know
he was there...

And if only for one moment...
I could hear his laughter
And a smile would grace my lips,
Only to remember my past.
But to never forget the feeling
Of his finger tips
Caressing my cheeks
as he kissed me so sweetly
But still afraid to say good bye.

If only for one moment...
I could take it back,
and not be afraid to care
and simply let him in
and if i could open up
and show him all the scars
of yesterdays sorrow
to know that tomorrow is still ours

If only for one moment,
I could hear him say again
That i am still strong...
Stronger then I've ever been
and to see the smile in his eyes
when he looked at me
and know how much he loved
but yet to remember
something that could never be
