Well done, Mom! I really like this, it has a nice flow and is quite intriguing.
Especially these lines:

"But, oh I was wrong, when it all fell apart
Leaving debris in the place of my heart"

Such interesting imagery, debri in place of my heart...just wow!

Wow this was a very interesting poem.. I loved the part about the sugar and the water.. such a deep and unique metaphor well thought out.. I dont think anything else would have fit so perfectly in that spot way to go.. nice poem.

Ok, this poem really got to me... i really am like crying right now. im just so amazed that you could write this, this is exactly what i was feeling after my boyfriend broke up with me. he said all these things to me, and in the end he had been lying the whole time.
anyways... i love it, great job!
