A tiny little bundle, sleeps gently in my arms
Sheltered from the real world, sheltered from all harm
His little ginger stomach moves up and down in time
We have a little kitten, the little kitten of mine

"Right right, I'm awake, whats that? a tail"
Slam goes his teeth and then he lets out a wail
Biting his own tail and clawing through my clothes
Lying in my duvet with his eyes tight closed

"Aaagh whats that thing, staring back at me"
Looking at the reflection its himself sitting on me
He runs around meowing and he claws the new bedroom
He's pulling down the litter tray, CAREFUL, too late KABOOM!

"Run away, run away theres a scary awful thing"
Don't be mean little kitten thats just mummy trying to sing
A little bundle of happiness, ginger and fluffy
I hold him in my arms, and for once I feel... happy..
