No Big Deal

She walks alone to class,
and all the teachers just look past
her sad blue eyes,
that cry themselves to sleep every night.
And they think it's nothing,
getting your heart broken.
They think it's no big deal,
because with time that will heal.
But she doesn't think so.
She thinks this will last forever.
So she'll cut just to feel better.

And I wish I could help her,
because I was once in her shoes.
Feeling as if you're worth nothing,
and your heart is bruised.
But how can I help her,
when I am still in this same position?
How can I tell her to get over him,
when I can't get over him myself?
