Blanket

by BlackRoses14   Apr 30, 2006

I, the warm and soft,

yellow, green,

blue and pink, the blanket,

would warm the body's

of sweet little children.

I would warm the laps

of sleepy elderly women.

I will comfort you threw out the night,

gently wrapping you in my arms.

I will hold you through the night,

keeping you safe within my grasp.

I will be like your mother,

only better and warmer,

for I'd never leave your side,

through out the cold, chilly night.

I'd wrap you in my arms,

and never let go,

that is until the brake of dawn,

when you awaken.
