Being A Good Friend

by goldie   Apr 30, 2006

To watch your friend cry
Puts a knife in your heart
To see them so down
Pulls you into the mud
You watch their tears roll down there face
You watch helplessly
Handing them a tissue
Asking if they're okay
Even if you know
The answers always no I never will be
You think of ways to help
But they just keep crying
Banging their head
Saying I can't take it any longer
Wishing they were dead
You watch hopelessly
Wishing you could do something
You watch them fall to the ground
Leaning against the wall
More tears fall down
You hand them another tissue
You try and comfort them
But nothing is working
The problem is too big
Too big for just you and your friend
There's nothing you can do
But stay with them
You watch them
Trying to make them never give up
They eventually stand
With their eyes all red and soaked with tears
You get them some help
You get them someone better to talk to
And you wait patiently hoping they'll come out with a smile
But you never know untill it's actually over.

This reminds me of when you get upset in school, that tuesday when we cut computers and went to the confernce room. Thats how i feel when you get so upset, and i know its with such good reason too. Heh, its a wonderful poem. I hade liked another one you wrote and thought it was your best, but i change my mind. I deffinatly love this one a ton more. My new favorite poem!
