My nan ;x

Her hair was brown, like autumn leaves
with just a frost of grey,
her eyes were warm and brown
"give me a hug," she seemed to say.

she floated round the rooms
a crown placed in her hair,
talking all the while
then she'd rest in her chair.

you'd walk inside her home
and she'd be upon her chair
click click would go her knitting needles,
but... one day she wasnt there.

for nan was like a rose
she climbed beautiful and tall,
made everybody love her
then passed beyond the wall.

for my nan left me
one cold and crisp morn,
she passed beyond the wall
and left me, sad and torn.

today was her birthday
i left a flower for her; there it lies,
i won't be sad, i'll be with nan again
the day that i too die.
