Songs of Angels

by Leanne   Apr 30, 2006

The best of friends
The two of them were
She loved him
He loved her

Always together
Is where they would be
Love in their future
Was all they could see

Days would come
Years would pass
They knew their love
Would always last

One day he said
your all I need
And with a box in his hand
He got on one knee

He said to her,
please be my wife...
Make me the happiest'I'vebeen in my life

With glistening tears
She took the ring
And said...tonight
the angels sing

for there\'sSever been
a love so true.
Of course I\'ll spend
my life with you.

She walks down the aisle
All dressed in white
His heart stops
At the beautiful sight

His eyes meet hers
And their love takes its toll
For right at that moment
They both became whole

Their family grew
As all the times past
The made precious memories
That would always last

Than one day
She did not wake
He knew her soul
The lord did take

But no tears of sadness
Came from him
For he knew not once
Did her love grow dim

Just a little old man
With a tarnished old ring
Would listen to all
Of the angels sing

Songs of love
That never grew dim
And knew that these songs
Were written for them.
