Dearest to me How sweet you sound I can here your cry From afar I found. You walked across the kitchen Looking for me To say goodbye But to my plea. I came To your side I held you close This hurt the most. You looked into my eyes Those amber colors surprise My heart began to race For what was about to take place. I held you there On the floor It was happening. You were dieing There was nothing I could do Just sit there singing Your favorite tune. You closed your eyes gently Breathing your last breathe A single tear came from my eyes And fell on your chest. This was it You looked at me one last time You seemed to smile I didn't know why. Then I realized You didn't just give me a life I gave you a home Someone to hold. I held you there On the floor It happened. You looked at me You mewed a goodbye You smelled my scent And then you died. I held you there On the floor A single tear Rolled down on your chest. All I prayed All your life Was that god would give you The soul of my life. I didn't want you to disappear Or wherever you went I wanted you with me With me to te end. I held you there On the floor A single tear Rolled down your chest.
