This World

by Jayden Mackwell   Apr 30, 2006

At times the words doesn't seem right,
And nothing seems fair at all,
But let me tell you the truth,
There's a lot further we could fall.

Rock bottom isn't real place,
It's just a state of mind,
And there really is no 'real world',
It's just another lie.

Happiness isn't too far away,
It's just behind lock and key,
It's where no one will find it,
And it sits there quietly.

No one can really tell,
What others feel inside,
That's why no one knows,
About my thoughts of suicide.

And every time I think someone,
Might just see right through me,
They turn around and walk away,
To live life selfishly.

Maybe someday I'll find someone,
That can mend my shredded heart,
But until that day comes,
I'll sit and be ripped apart.

I hate the way it feels,
When no one seems to care,
Why isn't anyone worth my tears,
And how come no one's ever there?

I guess I'll sit here questioning,
Day in and every day out,
I'll sit here in the rain and the shine,
I'll wallow in my doubt.
