Convertible

A break in my reality
A tear in my day to day
This child-like feeling
A hazy yellow view

When i take a drive
And escape myself
In a huge beachside mansion
With the man i image in the shower

The etched marble
suprising warm against the skin
The tenderness of his touch
Its what ive always known

A family vacation
SAnd as endless as time
Pushed and pulled by the tides
Like his hair on my pillow

Unkempt and masculine
Piercing eyes
Soothing gestures
Grace of the romans

DOnt leave me again
This temporary solace
but when the light runs green
the pages of reality fall into place

Like dominos down twelve flights of stairs
Meeting in a giant orgy
In a crowd of identical pieces

All crying out
But to a deaf audience
Another door slammed shut
My heart, like the tiny ceramic rectangles, left in fragments

The shore
My only solace
As the tide drifts the remains out to sea
And beyond the horizon when the ligth finally turns green
