Congestive Heart Failure

by nicole   May 1, 2006

I see myself standing alone at the foot of a cliff
I wonder whether i should take the plunge, or wonder back my beaten path

The earth aches beneath my feet
It trembles with the weight of my shoulders

Small pebbles break away from the larger boulders and slide down the empty canvas
Like the pieces of my life slipped into the empty space of time

As a child i dreamed in blue, crystal waters and indigo sunsets.
As i aged i dreamed in white, the clouds swirling through my hair as i flew away, from my house, from my city, fomr myself

And now with every breath my heart aches of things lost, the small remaining pieces slipping from my grasp

Forever wanting to strech my wings and make my escape

open arms, tossed by the wind
Rocks sliding by my trembling feet

My body follows the downward dance
Hands stretched, knees bent
Readying my landing
The ground rushing toward me
And once again I dream in blue

Well done. Just wondering, though: How did you come up with the name?
