Not one dare look down on me....

by Ms Stacy   May 1, 2006

I am an Army Wife, I love and support my husband with all my heart and soul.
He gets deployed country to country, and from state to state I go.
I sit across from the dinner table, at every holiday dinner we go to with his family and know that they hate me. But I wear a smile so he can be happy, while he's home on leave for this little bit of time.
I am friends with his buddies, his brothers look after him for me. I am a respected army wife because they know how strong I am for being just 18.
I deal with loneliness and fear, sadness and lust.
I'll wait for him even after I turn to dust.
...They say I'm as strong as any soldier, tough as nails, not one man that stands with him looks down on me, not one dares. They all bowed their heads in prayer, the day that Chris sat and cried at work, because many of them are fathers and they know how he feels when he found out that I wasn't pregnant with the baby we wanted so much.
We spent 3 long months preparing, the child we hoped to have, and now 3 months later it still hurts as bad as when I saw it say negative on the test results.
None of them look down on me, they all know my fear.
When I married at military man I inherited more brother in laws then most could stand to bare.
Yet I still love them all.

I love you Christopher come home soon sweetie!
and bring the boys back safe.
