Death Is Beautiful

Death is such a beautiful thing,
Taking the knife, slicing the vane
Freeing the soul, releasing the pain.

With each cut I get deeper
Says the cold, dark grim reaper

Now it's done, gone at last
Slipping away from my terrifying past
Escaping the wrath,
Oh ran by me so fast

    I like this but it ended kind of abruptly, you could definitely elaborate.
    Also vane should be spelled vein.
