An Hour Of Happiness

by Ashley   May 1, 2006

You brought me
An hour of happiness
You made me forget
About life's true mess

You felt like a blessing
Too good to be true
I just couldn't believe
That I'd finally found you

For an hour I forgot
About the pain you caused.
For an hour I forgot
About all your flaws

The flaws that hurt me
They isolated me from others.
After the hour passed,
My rain cloud again hovers.

When my hour was over,
I thought it would hurt worse.
No, it was easier this time,
But for you, I have this thirst.

Even though you hurt me,
I still want you here.
I can't stand it
When you're not near.

During this blessed hour
I knew it was all wrong.
I knew I should go home,
But you weren't staying long.

I give in to temptation
Every time I look in your eyes.
For every time I see you
That is where my happiness lies.

That hour is now gone
And I can't seem to rest.
Hunny, I love you,
But your memory's a pest.

" for an hour I forgot about the pain you've caused"

i love this statement because this is the way that I feel everytime my boyfriend/baby daddy comes over to visit. It's like we're inseparable and he loves me more than anything in the world, but when he leaves... i just want us to last forever but everyone knows that there is no happily ever after.
