Alone

by 42pcoke   May 1, 2006

Your voice is fading out, while I walk here alone,
The route is listening, as it shows me home,
It allows me to flood it, I can't take anymore,
It knows the memories, their getting painfully sore,
I can never see myself waking tomorrow,
One for joy, two for sorrow,
So I lift my chin, and the show goes on,
The sky wants to listen, and the stars sing along,
Before I know it, the night has fallen,
My eyes are weak, my feet are swollen,
I've been here before, and I'll be here again,
But by myself I realise, it'll never be the same again,
Have to forget, you don't walk me home,
I just didn't imagine that I'd walk alone,
Have to forget, you've forgotten who I am,
Have to forget; I just don't think I can,
But it's so easy to remember the past.
I knew it wouldn't happen, it would never last,
I can see you ride off, into a blurry view,
But Ill stand here, Ill fall and Ill loose,
You dont understand, and you just cant see,
That when you finished everything, you finished me,
Why couldnt you open your eyes, just a little wider?
Why did you say to people 'I think that I love her'
It hurts the most when you actually feel your heart breaking,
And there It was, my perfect dream in the making,
Im going to visit god soon, he'll tell me what to do,
He'll make me beautiful, and good enough for you,
I miss you more than words could say,
And if your not with me, I dont want to stay,
But I suppose this is what I get and what I deserve,
Now instead of me, youve chosen her,
Tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows,
Time will speed up and reality appear,
Make a smile and wipe that tear,
Your voice has faded, I walk alone,
Slam the door, "Mum, I'm home"

Brilliant peice, a smooth flow thoughout and some deep well expressed content. the rhymes seem very unforced and the peices content well expressed with good progression thoughout
