RIP Cody..

by Raychil   May 2, 2006

It was on my birthday
I was first to hear
He was taken away the other night
Someone many held dear

He was so young
It happened so fast
No one ever expected
That this night was his last

In the car with his friend
Just driving around in the night
Another car was driving too
But the cool night breeze made things feel alright

One turn too sharp
And everything went black
Now there's 2 in the hospital
The other...isn't coming back

The car swerved the wrong way
Tossing him about
If only it had missed his side
He would have made it out

One false move is deadly
It causes danger to be drawn
I have yet to say the worst part
He even had his seat belt on..

But that didn't protect him
I guess it was just his time
So all you young driver's out there
Heed the truth of this rhyme..

Be careful when you're out
The road's terrors are true
Don't take them lightly
Or you could lose someone too...

* This is a true story....Dedicated to Cody...who died Saturday, just before my birthday...RIP Cody, you're with God and the angels now..*
