Fairy tales don't come true...

by Rolo   May 2, 2006

Years I cant take back; memories I wouldn't sell
Longing for your love has put my heart through hell
There's time gone forever and tears lost in space
The feeling of your touch is what I can't replace

It kills to know your feelings and all we could've been
I wish I could re-live the past than have reality set in
If only I had my way there's no way that I'd let you go
How you make me feel is impossible for you to know

I cannot live without you; an arm's distance seems too far
I need you here to ease my soul and erase this love-filled scar
You're the only one with the power to take this ache away
The only one I'd ever let put my heart through such dismay

As much as I've tried to forget you, I love you even more
It's what you do to me; it's that something I can't ignore
I hate myself for wasting my thoughts on such a fantasy
But my dreams only remind me of what can never be

It leaves me here to wonder if true love has passed me by
Once upon a wonderful time I had held the perfect guy
Now I'm stuck here waiting, and wishing for only you
In the end this will prove that fairy tales don't come true...

Your poems continue to amaze me. I can relate to so many of them I feel as if you are looking in my heart and putting into words what I couldnt. Amazing.

...Dear...I get sad sometimes when I log in and it says you still haven't posted...and then there's the rare occasion, where I log in and you have posted (such as this evening) and then I read your perfect poem, and know that the time it took you to post this, was by far worth the wait. Every time you write it is by far amazing...usually devastating and depressing, but it's still amazing. You're so talented, and I hope you never let that talent fade. Hope school isn't killing you still, and that all is working out. Take care.

    Much love,
