Fire is a lot like life
Starts from a small spark
Growing larger and larger
As it's fed with more fuel
When it's small
It's controllable, tamable
It then grows unruly and wild
Roams without direction or purpose
Until it finally calms
Having explored and tasted all around it
It then begins to shrink
Spurts small sparks of it's own
And then dies slowly as what it lived on runs out
It's reason for being finally gone
Spent and utterly wasted
The flame turns to smoke
Then finally all that is left are the ashes
Thrown out to sea
Then forgotten by the new fires
Lost to the memory of the new sparks
