The shadows whisper,
From across the sea,
Can you hear them?
Theyre from me

Theyre saying I love you,
With my heart and my soul,
Theyre saying never leave me,
I wont, I know.

You mean so much to me,
In this messed up place,
This place called life,
Our very own race

Were not racing to win,
But to pull free from this mess,
Were racing for one thing,
Our own happiness.

It may seem easy,
But its harder then it seems,
So many obstacles,
One person per team.

But ill come and join you,
Even if it breaks the rules,
Well fix our lives together,
We neednt no tools.

Ill look out for you,
All of my life,
Even if you turn to,
That old trusty knife.

He was a friend,
So good and reliable,
But throw him away now,
His cramping our style!

You dont need him,
When you have me,
Your strong enough to get through this,
I know, and youll see.

I know how you feel,
I honestly do,
I always felt hopeless,
Until the day I met you..

Now Im returning it,
The kindness and love,
your sorrow will fly away,
On the wings of a dove.

Trust me with that,
It will vanish from sight,
And your smile will once again,
Make the darkest room light.
