Last plea

Life takes many turns the road seems far to long
words used to seem so elegant now they seem so wrong

innocence used to be bliss now its something strange
love was once a clean word
now its so deranged

how can people do things so wrong
and yet think its fine
let me explain to you one last time
you cant walk both sides of the line

Jesus paid a great price
bigger than any would
so that from our sins
be forgiven we could

He only asked one thing
why is it so hard for you to do?
that we would all die to self
so He could love me and you

why is that so terribly hard for you to grasp? I'm begging you one last time let all your mistakes and pain die with your past

you have to make a choice
grace forever will not last
He never said it would be easy
scoff at my *unrealistic* request if you like

He said you'd have to give things up
when you excepted Christ
you cant have it both ways
death or life?

if you don't show the changes
if you wont of yourself take control
then how are people supposed to see Christ through your earthly role?
