Lies

by Amanda   May 2, 2006

We were married once,
together for years.
Said you'd never leave,
that you'd always be here.

Now you say that still
But to me, not anymore.
You say it to her,
and you sound so sure.

Just last month, tho,
it was me you were talking to.
You said that only for me
was your love true.

You say that to her
and you think you mean it.
But a few weeks ago,
trying to tell me that shit.

I know what you're doing
you're bouncing between us.
Not anymore though.
I'm tired of your stuff.

As long as you're happy,
you don't care who you're kissing.
But in the end, baby,
it's me you'll be missing.

I have Eric to kiss and
cuddle with all tight
while all you have is...
emptiness in the night.

So, stop calling me
and telling me your story
I told you before,
you'll only be sorry.

You chose her over me
and that's when I knew
You'll be alone,
and I won't miss you.
