Look around

by megan   May 2, 2006

You're looking for water, in a desert that's hot and misty,
You're looking for the sun, when the moon shines its guilty light down on you,
You're looking for the hope in the country that is corrupt by prejudice,
You're looking for the silence in a room full of people,
You're looking for food in a barren landscape,
You're looking for life in the grey empty graveyard,
You're looking for emotion from a heart that's created by stone,
You're looking for an escape in a room with no doors,
You're looking for growth in a rootless tree,
You're looking to stop when you've got no grip,
You're looking to forgive in a fatal state,
You're looking to love with a broken heart.

You look.
You stare.
You hope.
You look.

Look.
Around.
Work.
Find.
Look.
Take.
