Consequences of Womanhood

by *Chocolate*   May 2, 2006

Being a woman has its ups
But it also has it downs
Walk around with pain on your face
Trying to fight your frown
Being able to hide your shape
So no one would see your curves
Cause nowadays you're just a token
To someone that doesn't deserves... You!
Walking around life
Knowing you could be the object of rape
Holding your head down
Because the memories you're trying to escape
The very essence of your beauty
Because you know you are innocent
And at the end of the day
Your screams weren't meant
To be heard by the people
Just drowned out by the crime
The thoughts are brought back
Each and every time
You try to close your eyes
So you could get some sleep
But remembering womanhood
Breaks you down and make you weep
The passion of womanhood
It's a mental stimulator
Allows you to open up
And be a chief communicator
Knowing it wasn't your fault
Because you had nowhere to turn
But being stuck inside womanhood
Causes your thoughts to burn
The remembrance of the situation
Makes me flashback
Flashback to that hateful time
The time of the attack
But womanhood suppose to change it
And make me feel new
Bring out my inner beauty
And erase the picture of YOU
Maybe if I was stronger
I could've changed the outcome
But because I am that big mistake
A woman is what I've become
A woman so soon
And without a plan
No where to turn around
No one to lend a helping hand
The look in his eyes
And me wishing that I could
Escape the essence of my beauty
And MY Consequences of Womanhood...
