What's on my mind

by Ann   Feb 10, 2004

Being together whenever possible.
The simplest thing between 2 people,
Has been impossible since last July,
And I'm missing you as these months go by.

Unlike every couple, we don't have much.
The only thing we use to stay in touch,
Though we can't say it's what we prefer,
Is our phones and our computers.

I do enjoy our times on the phone,
Despite it's your tone I hear alone,
I'm still happy and it settles me down.
Even through all the times I wear a frown.

I wish we were laying in bed
And I'm resting my head upon your chest.
You're hugging me tightly,
And the atmosphere is so heavenly.

Or maybe walking hand in hand in the park,
And being with you when it's dark.
Just something as simple as that
Can be such a difficult and hard to ask.

But I long for most is your tender touch.
Within your arms, I don't ask much.
Only none of these are happening at this time.
And until it does it'll always be on my mind.
