Poverty and hunger

by Tamsin Wagner   May 3, 2006

We watch the news day after day,
Watching as children’s lives slip away,
Their lives go from good to bad,
Thinking of family and friends they’ve had,
No-one to catch their tears,
No-one to fight their fears,
They sit and cry,
Watching their lives slowly slip by,
There is something we can do,
We can help and others too.
Give money we gave earned,
To give the lessons we have learnt.
If we stop and give it some thought,
Give money for food they sought.
Every time we send kids to school,
Or working with some sort of tool,
Stop to think what you could do,
If we all gave money too.
