Three days difference

by Alicha   May 3, 2006

Three days from yesterday where will we be?
Three days from tomorrow what will we see?
Will we be different?
Will we be the same?
What about tomorrow; will it be a new game?
Will people quit murdering others for fun?
Will horrible deeds finally quit being done?
Will people quit being hit by cars on the street?
Will homeless have shoes on their feet?
Will there be more crashing of plane flights?
Will children ever be able to sleep peacefully at night?
Will children quit being abandoned by their fathers and mothers?
Will children quit being tortured by others?
Will the wars ever be stopped?
Will the bombs quit being dropped?
Will the blood of the innocent quit being shed?
Will people quit being found in their houses dead?
Will there ever be an everlasting peace?
Will the wars across seas finally cease?
Will ruined families become reunited?
Will we as the states become divided?
Will the world end today?
Will we have anything to say?
Will children raise their siblings alone?
Will the world learn the lesson of peace we need to be shown?
Will the famines, the droughts, and the fires come and go?
Will there be a safe place to take refuge in the world as we know?
Will people be given what they truly need?
Will children in third world countries be able to read?
Will children quit being used to fight in wars around the world?
Will the bombs, please, quit being hurled?
Will we quit seeing bodies sprawled motionless on the ground?
Will we be so frightened we won’t make a sound?
Is our world truly coming to an end?
No, I think not. These are my thoughts that I am willing to send.
