To hear, To Touch

by Alison   May 3, 2006

To touch a withering rose,
To touch a dying man,
To hear a single heartbeat,
and notice my every plan.

To fade into nothing,
To want an unwanted child,
To hug a gifted woman,
and for a moment share her sight,
You'd be surprised there's not much of a fight.

To know but to be unknown
To dance like a graceful swan,
To hear what a deaf man hears.

You'll hear the same message,
You'll touch into the same problems.
Our lifes can't be perfect,
Mine is an example,
Don't underestimate what you have,
You might even understand.
