I just don\'t understand

Don't you hate when your parents say
"What we talkin bout is way before your time"
Or they throw you those lines that get stuck in your mind, confined to the ears of the mentally blind
And you just gotta know before you run out of time
Like "your too young to know" and "baby this is grown folks business"
But i don't understand
You can tell me Lana is a ho for gettin knocked up
But you can't tell me that my cousin got locked up
You always tell me "do as i say, not as i do"
That sounds a little hypocritical, not typical for you to critize me like what you do and habitual
For a parent to be so ,sacreligious to their children
Bow in alligence with your children
Vow to be with your children
Don't unconciously take away their experience by making them relate
For they cannot learn from someone else's mistakes
