You Were Only Morphine

by Raychel   May 3, 2006

I thought you were the antidote,
To my broken heart,
But it turns out you were only morphine,
And you ended up tearing me apart.

You were supposed to help me,
But you broke me again,
You were going to fix me,
But you only caused me pain.

The morphine wore off,
And now I can see,
There were no other pills other than you,
So what's left is a drug and me.

So I'm going to another doctor,
To fix me for real,
But you were only morphine,
And because of you I couldn't feel.
