Keep It Close

by JustAStatistic   May 4, 2006

So weak
Tears, glisten in the moonlight
Silent screams and prayers
And you
You mean everything to me
And you don't know what lies
Behind the smiles, the fake laughter.
The blood and the tears are hidden
And that's how life shall stay.
Sometimes I long to scream to you
As you move towards the door,
Please, don't leave me
Don't leave me here, don't leave me now
I'm so close to giving in...
But I just kiss your cheek goodbye,
Strong smile, a wave, close the door.
Body trembles, I sink to my knees.
I don't want to inflict my pain on you.
While I'm dying inside, I want you to see
I'll be fine.
