Soldier

by Jason   May 4, 2006

This soldier,
He's something special,
Grew up in a litter of four,
Army recruited him by telling him lies,
He deserves so much more,

They said he would have a great future in the Army,
But what kind of future is war?
War is a casino of death,
Can't even catch a breath,

Will you win and survive?
Or will you lose and seal your fate?
The government tried to put a tag on him,
An expiration date,

This soldier I speak of,
They sent him to Iraq,
This wasn't his will,
It's all a lost cause,

If I saw him laying on the ground waiting to die,
I would want to take his place,
You can't imagine how much I care,
It runs at such a fast pace,

I may not always have something to live for,
But I do have something to die for,
I'd die for my friends and family,
If there was no them,
There would be no me,

If I wasn't able to save this soldier in his time of need,
I'd blame it on the governments greed,
Looking at the republican we have as president,
Seeing an elephant is just a glare,
I look at a snake, who doesn't even care

I have a lot of love for this soldier,
I'll be with him till the end,
I try not to worry though,
I know he will stay alive like the never ending story,
Because I'm talking about my brother George Djaboury.
