The final farewell

by EoB   May 4, 2006

Faretheewell, cruel summer,
so lief thine winds expire.
They whispered: "we are deathless",
to set my heart afire.

Faretheewell, cruel summer,
of bliss thine tongues have spoken.
They stole my heart in twilight,
and left it weak and broken.

Faretheewell, cruel summer,
the hand of winter drew thee.
A face, so vile and dreadful.
No dreams will hence pursue thee.

Faretheewell, cruel summer,
what grace was laid upon thee.
was granted by the blindness
of hearts that never won thee.

I wish I could write like this, it's such a beautifully written piece. I've tried and tried and to no avail.
You have such an abundance of talent and this piece showcases that vibrantly.
Take care and keep it up~Holly
