Promises Expire

Sometimes,
When I think about you,
It gets hard to breath.
But I guess thats how it goes,
right?

But do I really deserve all this pain?
Do I really deserve to be so alone?
To feel so unloved?

Without you, I'm nothing
I have no soul
No heart
You hold these things with you.
TOOK these things with you.
My humanity
My entire existence

Now,
All I'm left with
Is this pain
This emptiness

We swore
We'd be together forever
You promised
You would never leave my side

I guess I just never realized that promises expire.....
