Poem of Salvation

by Melanie lenae   May 4, 2006

He came when we weren't even born,

he walked on earth, and for us his hands were torn.

Some say they don't even want to know him,

But how can you not want to know who took away your sin.

He calls us his friends, and for that I am grateful,

He is always so loving and so faithful.

No matter what we do he will always love us,

Even if we sin too much, or use his name to cuss.

His body was torn, for us to be living,

You can tell he was a man who loved giving.

His name is Jesus and he is my savior,

I know with him I will always have favor.

If you want to be set free from all of your sins,

You must open your heart and let him come in.

A wonderfully inspirational poem...very well written and you managed to use a decent rhyming scheme throughout. Watch out for some funny characters at the start. Powerful words...
