This is my own self-harm

by physco   May 4, 2006

See these scars and cuts?
That lie freely on my arm?
This is my secrete suicide,
This is my own self-harm.

See the tears i cry?
Running smoothly down my cheek?
These are the stories I've had to live,
That turn my body week.

See my shattered heart?
See the pain that does flow through?
See how much it bleeds,
Day in and out for you.

See these scars and cuts?
That lie freely on my arm?
This is my secrete suicide,
This is my own self-harm.

Sad, I hope this is something of that past for you. The poem was structured rather nicely, and the emphasis on the first stanza added nicely to the feeling behind it. Just watch your spelling, "secret" has no "e" on the end, and "week" should be "weak" in the sense that you used it. Take care.
