Mask

I feel like i have no one
in which i can confide
and i don't understand
the feelings that i hide

i wouldn't tell them if they asked
its all too much to bare
plus they don't really want to listen
and probably wouldn't care

i hate when people ask whats wrong
it just reminds me that I'm sad
i would just smile and walk away
like nothing in life is bad

its all because you left me
that cold august day
all my feelings and love for you
never truly went away

I'll smile and laugh and pretend I'm okay
with everything in the past
but its because of that cold day
that I'm forced to wear this mask!
