It's Sad...

It's sad that one mistake,
can put the future on hold.
It's sad that pains and aches,
hurt you more when you're old.

It's sad that middle class,
is respected less than the poor.
It's sad to hear a Mass,
beyond a pedophiles door.

It's sad to hear of war,
especially ones that we've lost.
It's sad to see Al Gore,
watch Mr. Bush be the boss.

It's sad to see two towers,
go down without a fight.
It's sad to see our country's powers,
used for wrong, and not right.

It's sad to see a levee break,
that was "structurally sound."
It's sad to see the U.S. take,
so much time to come around.

It's sad to see so much self-hate,
amongst the youth of this decade.
It's sad to say that it's too late,
America's rule will soon fade...

    That was very will written & everything in it was true. The repetition of "It's sad" really held up.. much better than some others I have read with that sort of repetition. You did a great job on this at expressing your views & thoughts. Great job!

    Loved this poem!!! Couldn change a thing!! I have to disagree with Rach i like it better the way u wrote it!!! This is my fav stanza:
