The Beauty Of My Wife

by bryan   May 5, 2006

In the early morning dawn,
As the sun crept through the trees.
Upon your closed but sunlit eyes,
Were gazed upon by me.

A gaze of introspection,
Of such beauty there at hand.
A woman with such perfection,
And I , a lucky man.

Not the luck of guessing,
Nor the luck some have with dice.
But more of that of passion,
For the beauty of my wife.

In the warm mid afternoon,
Later that same day.
While standing there amongst the woods,
Again I stood amazed.

I couldn't help to smile,
If only all could see.
The golden rays from the sun that played,
With your hair admits the breeze.

It danced with such conviction,
As that , true lovers do.
And I so much addicted,
With drunken love for you.

I held you as my lover.
As a child holds a dream.
As the earth it holds a flower.
Strong and faithfully.

I have never been so loved.
And I hope you feel it too.
For everyday , in every way,
Baby , I Love You...

Wow dude, it's great to see someone who takes the time to put rythm into their poems. A lot of people on this site use a lot of imagery but tend to leave out the rythm. Great poem, sounds like you've found someone to share your life with.
