Clouds

by Julia   May 5, 2006

Sitting on the porch one day
staring at the sky
thinking of my troubles
while watching clouds go by.

memories overtake my mind
while staring in the white
thinking of the times i have
stared at skies so bright.

the day my brother left us
we cried in saddened love
we watched as his plane flew away
and glanced at clouds above.

these castles of a world unknown
know thinkgs from long ago
the witnessed the earth being formed
they were there; they know.

they watch us as the climb across
the everlasting blue
and see our life and its stories
they\'re watching me and you.

they watched my first bicycle ride
oh what a happy day!
then watched me as i crashed and cried
i saw them through the gray.

these clouds watch every moment
while they float high above
they saw my great-great-grandfather
they see my fresh new love.

they saw the day that i was born
they\'ll see the day i die
they\'ve seen the times i\'ve been forlorn
the days i\'ve sat and cried.

they\'ve seen the days of happiness
they\'ve seen the days of fun
they\'ve seen the days of truthfulness
they\'ve seen the days we\'ve won.

And when you feel like youre alone
and no one is around
and everything is dire
you feel like youre dragged down.

remember there\'s those watching
they\'re watching from up high
remember of those watching
those clouds up in the sky.

think of all of the things they\'ve seen
all of the saddening tales
think of how good a pth you have
compared to other trails.

remember to be thankful
thankful for what you\'ve got
remember to be thankful
for the smiles you have caught.

you may be going through some times
that may not seem that great
but everything has purpose
such is that thing called \"fate\".

the clouds will always be here
to help us when we fail
and long after we pass away
they\'ll pass our lenghty tales.

they\'ll tell of our adventures
and fears and hopes and wants
and tell of our kept secrets
the thinkgs which scare and haunt.

the clouds are always with us
no matter where we go
they\'ll help us through the sorrows
they\'ll catch us through the woe.
