A Word to My Best Friend

by LadyPearl   May 5, 2006

Like a dove flown from it's cage
I write my words to you on page
You changed my course of life
Due to that I now survive

While I was shy and lonely
You were wild, kind and giddy
But inside we're both confusing
Our life seemed so perplexing

You with six other siblings
Grown to be smart of teachings
Living in the shadows of pride
For that, pushing confidence aside

Our encounter was particular in ways
Actually quite annoying if I may say
In math our words entangled together
You were just some blond I gathered

But through our other friends
We met each other's ends
And gazed upon the beauty
Residing Both in you and me

Through our eyes, faults were learned
But in that, a true friendship earned
Aiding each other in times of need
Accomplishing a good man's deed

Yet sometimes I'm stilling inquiring
How you can be so happy-go-lucky
And you still wonder how I could be boring
On my days of probing deep thinking

But in the end, It's all worth it
With my calmness and your wit
We make the best of the best
And we'll never come in last

Now I must end by saying this
Speaking truly the way it is
Because of you, I'm me today
Goodbye, I'm done with all my say
