True Love Smiles

by jon clodfelter   May 5, 2006

The light grows as she enters the room.
and the air a bit sweeter.
my breath begins to increase.
My love for her is in full bloom.

Her eyes are like stars in the night sky.
Her hair is lighter then the suns rays
cast down upon her gentle skin.
My heart is racing as she draws closer.
And my hands begin to shake.

My knees are trembling,
Iâ??m using all my strength just to keep breathing.
nearing she comes,
gliding sliently like a ghost.

I wish I could say something.
just simply speak.
But my words are repeled back into my mind by her beauty.
Time seems to stop,
my feet are like pillars of stone to me now.

She moves in slow motion, but I make no move.
sheâ??s almost to me.
Now, both our bodyâ??s are parrallel.
It takes my whole will just to turn towards her face.
She returns the look,
her face glowing and radiant.

She gives me a quick smile,
then turns away whipping her golden blonde hair at my face.
And continues on her way.

I stand transfixed on the moment that has passed me.
My entire life is nothing compared to that smile.
But now she is gone,
and iâ??m alone,
all I can do now is wait,
for the next time my love passes me again.

-dedicated to Jenna, my one and only someone.
