Daddy\'s Arms

by Just That Girl   May 5, 2006

Standing on the highest building
Looking down at the ground
On a cold and bitter night
No one is around
Everything still

Tears falling down my face
Each one tells a story
I take a small step
Glance over the edge

There are many suicidal thoughts
Running through my head
I have cut
But the pain just wont go away

A swift gust of wind
Cause me to loose my balance
I grab onto the other side of the building
But my fingers start to slip

I try to call for help
But I can not make a sound
My voice is caught in my throat
And just would not come out

I shut my eyes tightly
And as I fall to the ground
Happy memories run through my head

And in the distance
Not too far a way
I hear a deep, caring voice cry out:
HOPE!
That is when I find myself
In my daddy's arms
